The Role of Filters in Your Search
Using filters in your search can help refine your results
by narrowing down or expanding your search criteria.
When you choose multiple options within a filter, only
results that meet all of those criteria will be displayed. For instance, if you
select "Book" and "Database" in the "Article
Type" filter, your results will only show items that match both
categories.
On the other hand, selecting multiple filters allows for
results that meet any of the specified criteria. This means that your search
results will include items that match either of the selected filters,
broadening the scope of your search.
Suppose you are searching for research papers or articles
published in the year "2021" in the field of "Healthcare"
OR "Biotechnology." By applying the "Field of Study" filters and
adding a filter for the year "2021," the search results will include
articles or papers that meet either of the specified conditions. In this case,
the search results will include research papers or articles that are related to
either "Healthcare" or "Biotechnology," as well as papers
that were published in the year "2021".
This flexibility can broaden the search scope and provide
a more diverse set of results that meet the specified criteria.
