To access and manage your profile:

  • Click on your Profile Icon located at the top-right corner of the navigation bar

Once in your profile area, you can perform the following actions:

  • Update your first and last name
  • Upload an avatar/profile image
  • Specify or update your organization affiliation

Connect to Your Institution

SCiNiTO supports multiple methods for institutional access. Connecting your account gives you access to additional content and features available through your organization's subscription.

Three Ways to Connect:

  1. Via IP Configuration
    • Your institution shares its IP range with SCiNiTO
    • Users accessing SCiNiTO within that IP range are automatically linked to the institution
  2. Using an Institutional Email
    • Add your official institutional email address alongside your personal one
    • Once verified, your account is connected without changing your login credentials
  3. Request Access via Admin Approval
    • If your institution is registered but you’re not yet a member:
      • Search for your institution
      • Submit a request to join (optional: add a message)
      • Upon approval, you'll be linked to the organization's resources

Change Password

  • Update your password at any time to keep your account secure

  • Opt-in to receive notifications for:
    • New publications
    • Updates relevant to your research interests
    • Journal and reviewer suggestions

  • If you decide to close your account:
    • All saved data, projects, and search history will be permanently deleted
    • This action is irreversible and removes your profile from the platform
